If I shall fall and scrape my knee,
And your not there to see,
I'll just rise and find your eyes,
And your arms embracing me,
And imagine, as your gently
rocking me,
Upon my Daddy's strong and
capable knees.

So don't you let my Daddy's eyes,

fill with tears thinking that,

 I may leave him soon.

I wish so much you wouldn't worry so,
The way you do, when you think im in a hurry,

To Court, or Mate,

or maybe even seal my Fate,
I know how much you love me,

You love me just as much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too;

But when that day comes, remember,

I learned from the best, and the best is You,
Please try to understand,
That I heard Him call my name,

And he took me by the hand, if only in my dreams.

And he said I had a place,
And it was there with him,
And that I don't have to leave behind,
All those I have always loved.

As I could never walk away,

Cause Daddy's are forever,

and Mates may sometimes go away.

Tear's fell from my eye's,

When you hurt my heart.

How could you ever think, anyone could take your place.

I'd never leave you. Niether, the Vosk River,

or the Thassa true, could keep my love from you.

So don't you let my Daddy's eyes,

fill with tears thinking that, I may leave him soon.

You have given me so much to live for,

And so much direction, I know right from wrong.

I am steadfast and strong.

There is nothing left, for you to do,

But give my hand away.

And though your job is done,

Mine has just begun.
It almost seemed impossible
That one day, I would be leaving you.

But now I know why, because daughters never do,
The good ones and the bad ones,
Will forever need their Fathers hugs,

A bounce on the knee,

and a word or two of praise.

If I could live all over,
And have it all my way,
I'd stay little forever,

And this day would never come.

But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For happiness and memories,
Growing and maturing.
Is a part of life's blessings.

That we must learn to appreciate.

And I will make you proud,

For, Im yours, and you have taught me well.

I will never become just a memory,

or a tear drop, that cause's my Daddy

eyes to swell.
